JOB TITLE: Family & Youth Clinician (Therapist)
JOB SUMMARY: The Family & Youth Clinician (Therapist) provides professional therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families. The Clinician assesses the clients needs, develops treatment plans, and provides ongoing counseling using evidence-based approaches. The goal is to support the youth and families in achieving emotional well-being, improving relationships, and building resilience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to youth and families.
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
- Collaborate with schools, social services, and other community partners to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with the organization and state regulations.
- Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to the developmental needs of children and adolescents.
- Engage families in the therapeutic process to promote lasting positive change.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and training opportunities.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
SUPERVISED BY: Hired, supervised, and evaluated by the Director of Family and Youth.

Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience working with adolescents and understanding their development needs.
- Experience providing individual and group therapy sessions in a clinic setting.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and developmental psychology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education masters degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Licensure/Certification: Indiana licensure LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years experience working with youth and families in a clinical setting.
- Ability to build rapport with young people, listen actively, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong communication and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and within a multidisciplinary team.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required. (Or willingness to obtain)
- Appropriate automobile insurance and valid license plates.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasional standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role may involve both in-office and community-based services, including schools and homes. Evening and occasional weekend hours may be required to meet client needs. Travel may be required to client homes, schools, or community sites.
