The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is seeking a Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor will oversee clinical supervision, foster team growth, and enhance internal and external partnerships to support the goals of the Mental Health Department.

Under the supervision of the Director of Mental Health Services, the Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the leadership and development of the clinical and clinical support team.  This role ensures that the clinical team is effectively serving participants/clients, developing and adhering to best practices, and continuously improving through feedback, training, and leadership. 

The Mental Health Department is committed to filling the critical need to provide quality, equitable mental and behavioral health and social support services for individuals of all ages. 

Some Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Development & Supervision:
    • Actively participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of clinical and clinical support staff.
    • Provide weekly supervision to clinicians working toward full licensure and consultation for fully licensed clinicians.
    • Lead monthly team meetings and offer guidance on micro, mezzo, and macro factors impacting therapy goals and processes.
    • Advise and assist in developing strategies to support staff growth and improve client outcomes.
  2. Policy & Procedure Management:
    • Regularly review and recommend updates to policies and procedures to enhance staff development and client outcomes.
    • Support the practice in meeting organizational goals through the development and implementation of effective strategies.
  3. Client Experience & Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee client experience and ensure satisfaction by identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies.
    • Lead the creation and execution of quality control measures that optimize the client and employee experience.
    • Ensure adherence to state, federal, and HIPAA guidelines regarding documentation, reporting, and client records.
  4. Collaboration & Community Engagement:
    • Work with diverse communities to develop initiatives that meet their needs and build strong partnerships with organizations such as schools, businesses, and community leaders.
    • Demonstrate cultural competency, high professional ethics, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  5. Trauma-Informed Practices & Program Management:
    • Maintain a trauma-informed program culture that ensures a safe and secure environment for both team members and clients.
    • Plan and prioritize time effectively to meet program and participant goals independently and collaboratively.
  6. Leadership & Network Building:
    • Connect with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships and build new partnerships that promote the growth of the department and the development of clients and team members.
  7. Clinical Caseload:
    • Maintain a clinical caseload of 10-15 clients per week, ensuring compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
  8. Technology & Reporting:
    • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other software to support accurate documentation and tracking of client progress and program activities.
    • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements for state, federal, grantor, and HIPAA standards.

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary of $75,000/annually.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC) in the State of New Jersey.
  • Willingness to obtain Clinical Supervision Certification within 3 months of employment.
  • Passion for collaborative work and fostering growth in others.
  • Experience in clinical supervision/team management, preferably within diverse and underrepresented communities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of New Jersey licensing board regulations and ethics guidelines.
  • Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, with excellent communication in both languages.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record Systems and Office Suite.
