Job Description

What You'll Do:

The Bureau of Health Improvement and Wellness (BHIW) is seeking a dedicated Health Planning Administrator 2 to manage the manage the Tobacco Use Prevention & Cessation Program (TUPCP). This position will:

Assist section chief & bureau chief in development of program goals & objectives.

Act as liaison between various programs & bureaus in department & with other state & federal government agencies & associations.

Direct preparation of & prepare & review reports.

Work with the Epi Manager to enhance access & data analysis to drive data informed & outcomes based programming.

Supervise program staff.

Develop applications for & administer federal grants & act as principal investigator on assigned complex grants involving multiple programs.

Qualifications

4 yrs. exp. in planning & administering health program(s), with experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

-Or

Completion of graduate core program in field of public health, health administration, preventive medicine, social work, nursing or other health-related field, or public policy & management/public administration or business administration;

12 mos. exp. in planning & administering health program(s), with education & experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

-Or

12 mos. exp. as Health Planning Administrator 1, 65245, with experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

-Or

Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

ALL ANSWERS TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PROVIDED ON YOUR CIVIL SERVICE APPLICATION.

Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 14, Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule ($37.53 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($39.67) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
