Equine-Assisted Mental Health Facilitator
Location:Olympia WA, South Bay Area
Employment Type: Part time, Tues and Thurs.
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and certifications, but around $75 per session.
Hours: Tuesday 10:30-12pm Thursday 12pm-1:30pm

Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed mental health professional with horse experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about equine-assisted therapy and life coaching and have both the clinical knowledge and horsemanship skills to work safely and effectively in a dynamic outdoor environment. We are open to hiring a mental health professional that is not a therapist, to handle our equine assisted learning class. Need not be a therapist to apply.
Responsibilities:
Conduct group sessions incorporating equine-assisted modalities
Ensure the physical and emotional safety of clients and horses at all times
Collaborate with equine specialists, clinical team members, and support staff
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional ethical standards
Qualifications should include most of the following:
Bachelors degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
Current state licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years of horse handling and care experience
Certification or training in Equine-Assisted Therapy (e.g., EAGALA, PATH Intl., Natural Lifemanship) preferred
Strong communication skills and empathy
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and managing the unpredictability of animals
