This is a Care Manager position for Counseling and Consultation Service embedded within Student Health Services (SHS). The Care Manager Establishes and maintains service presence within Student Health Services, working closely with the SHS Medical Director and SHS Referral Manager as well as with Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) Care Team and CCS Associate/Assistant Directors of Clinical Services; supports Student Health Services staff through planning, implementing, and coordinating resources based on individual student and staff needs; provides short-term individual mental health services; promotes continuity of care through coordinating, collaborating and advocating based on students needs; coordinates care with students receiving services from Counseling and Consultation (CCS), other campus organizations that would assist with the students needs and community mental health resources; consults with other staff to discuss resources; coordinates the Eating Concerns Consultation Team; consults with students to determine their needs and best course of treatment; provides transitional support to referring therapist and clients in need of referral to community services; maintains community referral resources; acts as liaison and coordinates between SHS, CCS and community referral sources, including hospitals, private practitioners, clinics, psychiatry, and other mental health agencies while maintaining a database of community referral resources; participates in professional development and continuing education activities and consults with university personnel.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work , Public Health, Allied Health or other clinically related field. Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Independent Social Worker, or Licensed Independent Social Worker - Supervisor. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Independent licensure in the State of Ohio in professional discipline within 4 months of hire.
Desired Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field or master's degree in Counselor Education, Social Work, Counseling or related field. Independent licensure in the State of Ohio in professional discipline within 4 months of hire; considerable clinical casework experience in therapy and crisis management; supervised internship or work equivalent experience in university counseling center, mental health agency, or related professional setting; experience providing psychotherapy, diagnostic assessment and outreach.
Additional Information:Hiring Range: 62,600.00 - 78,250.00.
*The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
