Score the Right Candidate Every Time With iHire’s AI-Powered Applicant iScore
Don’t have the time to sift through unqualified resumes? Want to quickly prioritize which candidates to contact for interviews – and which to disqualify or pipeline? Unsure how to score a resume? iHire’s Applicant iScore is here to make your job easier so you can hire the right talent fast.
What Is Applicant iScore?
iHire’s AI-powered Applicant iScore tool allows you to identify qualified candidates at a glance. Essentially, iScore reviews the requirements listed in your job ad and compares them with the content in the job seeker’s resume to determine if they have the right skills and experience to fill your role. The higher the iScore, the more likely the applicant is to be a good fit.
How Does Applicant iScore Work?
When a candidate applies for your open position, we compare their resume against the job description using our AI-powered technology. Remember, the more details you include in your job ad, the more accurate the applicant’s iScore will be. Therefore, be sure to list all of the most essential skills and qualifications the position requires and follow job ad writing best practices.
Additionally, you can customize your iScore experience by adjusting which skills are most important. The skills you designate as “required” will be weighted more heavily when our tool scores your applicants, while the skills you mark “nice to have” will be weighted less heavily. You may also add and remove skills to improve the accuracy of your applicant’s iScores.
You can always adjust these settings to ensure you’re filtering in the right candidates. Whenever you modify your skills, our platform automatically recalculates and updates all current applicant iScores.
Where Can I See Applicants’ iScores?
Once you begin receiving applications for your open position, you can access your candidates’ iScores by going to your Manage Jobs page and selecting the appropriate job posting. You’ll see a list of all applicants and their iScore as it relates to that specific job ad.
You can see more details about each candidate’s iScore by clicking on the applicant’s name, then navigating to the “Application” tab. Click on the “AI iScore” to view a breakdown of how well the candidate’s skills match those listed in the job description and those you’ve deemed “required” and “nice to have.”
If you are receiving resumes via email, you will be able to view the applicant's AI resume score right in your inbox but will need to sign in to your account to access the details.
Do Candidates Use iScore, too?
For iHire job seekers, iScore works in a similar way. Say a candidate has expressed interest in applying for an Administrator position. In real time, they can see how their resume compares to the specifics listed in the job posting. If the job requires candidates to be proficient in data entry and the candidate has not listed that as a skill on their resume, the iScore tool will call it out.
This allows the candidate to update their resume (if they possess that missing skill) before applying, so the iScore that you’ll see is most accurate. iScore also helps them more readily assess whether they are truly a good fit for your position.
