Family Therapist Jobs in Oregon
A Family Therapist plays an integral role in the social service industry by providing therapeutic services to families, couples, and individuals to help them manage and overcome various family-related issues which may include conflict, communication breakdown, relationship issues, abuse, mental health disorders, and lifestyle transitions among others. They apply various therapeutic techniques based on psychological theories to help family members improve communication, solve family problems, understand and handle special family situations, and create a better functioning home environment. They typically hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field, and should have a state-issued license to practice.
